We are still looking for test players from Schleswig-Holstein or Hamburg who would like to play a short or long test round of "The Knights of Arandamar". I am of course happy to hear from anyone who is interested and contacts me by email or social media. Groups are also welcome to contact me.
The prototype is in advanced beta testing, but there is still a lot of work to be done. But the goal is clear: the Kickstarter campaign for the Knights of Arandamar in English and German is scheduled to be launched at the end of 2024.
The latest game expansion, which adds the "Towers & Castles" element, has proven itself in the game and changes the gameplay more than initially expected.
The option of building towers and castles to further strengthen your own provinces and build up power points is an exciting addition.
Surprisingly, this expansion seems to noticeably shorten the duration of the rounds, as combat is reduced to a certain extent due to reduced finances and greater risk. Further rounds of the game will show whether the initial impressions are confirmed.
The first 5-player test game took place on 25.11.23 at the Wattenbeker Spieletreff. Even with 5 first-time players, everyone had a lot of fun and the average round time was only extended by about 5 minutes to 45 minutes. Due to time constraints, only 6 rounds were played. The victory went to Helge, who entered the game as "The Peaceful One" and thus showed everyone that it makes sense to use your character according to your abilities.
